The Duty of Worship
A set of beliefs and practices followed by those committed to the service and worship of God. The first commandment requires us to believe in God, to worship and serve him, as the first duty of the virtue of religion (CCC 2084, 2135). The virtue of religion disposes us to give God the adoration and worship which we as creatures owe him in justice (CCC 2095). True religion is realized in its fullness in the Catholic faith.
