The Resurrection
The bodily rising of Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day.
The Resurrection is the crowning truth of our faith in Christ, confirming His divinity and all His teachings (CCC 638, 651). It is a real, historical event attested by the empty tomb and many appearances (CCC 639-644).

Christ's Resurrection is the principle and source of our own future resurrection and our current life of grace (CCC 654-655, 989).

Was it a physical resurrection? Yes. The Risen Christ was not a ghost; He had a real, glorified body that could be touched and that ate food, yet was no longer subject to space and time (CCC 645-646).
