The Road to Damascus
The route where Saul of Tarsus experienced a life-changing encounter with the Risen Christ.
The Road to Damascus is the site of the conversion of St. Paul, where the persecutor Saul was blinded by the light of Christ and called to be the Apostle to the Gentiles (CCC 442, 515). This event demonstrates the power of God's grace to transform any heart.
The Mystical Body
On this road, Jesus asked Saul, 'Why do you persecute me?', revealing that Christ is one with His Church (CCC 792, 1474). This became the foundation for Paul's theology of the Body of Christ.
