The Fall of Man
The Fall of Man is the event in which Adam and Eve disobeyed God and lost their original holiness.
The account of the fall in Genesis affirms a primeval event where man, abusing his freedom, disobeyed God's command (CCC 390, 397). This resulted in the loss of original holiness (CCC 399).
