Faith
Faith is the theological virtue by which we believe in God and believe all that He has said and revealed to us.
Faith is a personal adherence of man to God and a free assent to the whole truth that God has revealed (CCC 150). It is a gift of God, a supernatural virtue (CCC 153).
Faith and Understanding
Faith seeks understanding; a believer desires to know better the One in whom he has put his trust (CCC 158).
