Faithful (The Christian)
The Christian faithful are those incorporated into Christ through Baptism, who share in His priestly, prophetic, and royal office.
The Christian faithful (Christifideles) are those who, inasmuch as they have been incorporated into Christ through Baptism, have been constituted as the People of God. Because of this, they participate in the priestly, prophetic, and royal office of Christ according to their own condition (CCC 871).
Equality in Dignity
Among all the Christian faithful—whether laity, religious, or ordained clergy—there exists a true equality regarding dignity and action. All are called to holiness and to the mission of building up the Body of Christ, even though their specific roles and functions differ (CCC 872).
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
