Holy Week

Holy Week is the final week of Lent, beginning with Palm Sunday, that commemorates the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus.

Holy Week is the most sacred time of the liturgical year, during which the Church celebrates the mysteries of salvation accomplished by Christ in the last days of His life on earth (CCC 1169). It culminates in the Easter Triduum (CCC 1168-1171).

The events celebrated include Jesus' entry into Jerusalem, the institution of the Eucharist, His crucifixion, and His burial (CCC 1169).
