Mission
Mission is the Church's fundamental vocation to evangelize the world, flowing directly from the sending of the Son and the Holy Spirit by the Father.
Mission is the fundamental calling and purpose of the Church: to proclaim and establish among all peoples the Kingdom of Christ and of God. The Church is missionary by her very nature (CCC 849-850).
Trinitarian Origin
The Church's mission is not a human invention; it flows directly from the eternal "sending" (mission) of the Son and the Holy Spirit by God the Father. Having been sent by Christ to "make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19), the Church is compelled by the love of Christ to bring the light of the Gospel to every person (CCC 850–851).
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
