Doxology
A doxology is a short hymn or formula of praise to God, especially to the Holy Trinity.
A doxology is an expression of glory and honor to God. The most common is the 'Glory be to the Father...' which concludes many Catholic prayers (CCC 2639). In the Mass, the Eucharistic Prayer ends with a solemn doxology (CCC 1355).
Praise to the Trinity
Doxologies emphasize the Trinitarian nature of Christian worship, giving glory to the Father, through the Son, and in the Holy Spirit (CCC 2639-2643).
